A Bridge For Kids Wins Big For Teens at Gold Diggers Annual Charity Event

The Gold Diggers, a nonprofit volunteer membership organization that concerns itself with members of our community with special needs, celebrated their 22nd Hats Off Annual Event at the Torrey Pines Hilton on March 6th. This event highlighted 15 local charities in San Diego, including A Bridge for Kids, each tasked with designing at hat featuring their Mission and the theme for this year, America The Beautiful. The A Bridge For Kids hat was designed and modeled by Ashley Gregory from the Design Institute of San Diego and was a huge hit at the event.  Ashley designed a theme that represented a red shimmering bridge that spanned across the sparkling blue ocean of knowledge, sending young people in need on the road to a brighter future.  While our hat did not win, A Bridge for Kids was proud to accept a $500 donation from the Gold Diggers. IMG_6953IMG_6951Ashley in her self designed and modeled hat.A special thanks to The Gold Diggers, Honorary Chair Kristi Pieper and our designer and model Ashley Gregory!
