ServiceNow Partnership Gives “Hand Up” to Low-income Students
A Bridge for Kids is excited to announce that ServiceNow, a Santa Clara based software company, has generously agreed to sponsor 10 of our students. In addition to a $1,000 sponsorship, each teen will be given a free laptop and will take part in a 10-week coding seminar hosted by Service Now engineers. Also, as a part of the program, students will have a dedicated ServiceNow Engineer who will act as a mentor to provide guidance and help with their final project. Safa Aw-Muhumed Wins 9th Annual Essay Contest
Safa Aw-Muhumed, a junior at Crawford High School, bested 250 other entrants in winning the 9th Annual A Bridge for Kids Essay Contest. This is the first time that a student from Crawford has won the contest and earned the $2,500 first place prize. This year students were asked “What is the one life experience that has best prepared you for your future? 2021 Essay Contest Sets New Record
After receiving a record 250 essays from over 25 local high schools we are pleased to announce we have narrowed down the field to a final 21 in our 9th Annual Essay Contest. A total of 10 high schools are represented in this top group with students from Crawford High School (6) and The Preuss School, UCSD (4) leading all schools with almost half of the total finalists.
