A Record Breaking Year…and It’s only October!!!
When one door closes, another opens. This has been the mantra of A Bridge For Kids since Covid closed most San Diego schools starting in 2020. This year, an open door yielded a record number of over 80 new teen sponsorships and it’s still only October! SAT Prep Classes Provide “Hand Up” to ABFK Teens
An important component of the college application process is the submission of a student’s college entrance exam scores, namely the SAT(Scholastic Aptitude Test) and/or the ACT(American College Test). A Random Act of Kindness Leads to New Program for Low Income Teens
Many low-income students have problems with their laptops, ranging from connectivity issues, to the software being outdated or for most the cost is just too high to be able to afford one. 2021 Scholarship Winners Announced
We are proud to announce the winners of the 2021 A Bridge for Kids College Scholarship. Each year we recognize and support low-income high school seniors throughout San Diego who have excelled in academics, athletics and/or the arts during their high school years. This year a total of $20,000 in funding was granted to low income, high achieving seniors who are committed to attending a four-year college. ServiceNow Partnership Gives “Hand Up” to Low-income Students
A Bridge for Kids is excited to announce that ServiceNow, a Santa Clara based software company, has generously agreed to sponsor 10 of our students. In addition to a $1,000 sponsorship, each teen will be given a free laptop and will take part in a 10-week coding seminar hosted by Service Now engineers. Also, as a part of the program, students will have a dedicated ServiceNow Engineer who will act as a mentor to provide guidance and help with their final project.
