Looking for a Sponsor: Local Teen Dreams Big!

Christopher Santiago: This is Who I AmI come from a pretty big family. Seven kids and a single mother. We are a big family and I come in ranking number 5, born fifth. My mom, due to health issues, is limited to certain jobs, so making money can be difficult. That’s the problem. I like to learn, explore, and better myself in allways possible. As of this year, I’ll be 15. I'm a teenager and I'm not supposed to have my life figured out,but I want to, I want to be ready. “Educate yourselves”, my mother always tells us, and Tomen todas las oportunidades que yo deseaba tener pero nunca tuve,” meaning “Take all the opportunities I wished to but never had.”I’ve always made it my mission to be the best I can be, but the situation I’m in always made it hard to ask for things thatI need and always kept my head down. Another face in the crowd. I’m done, and I’m ready to do all it takes for my future and my passions by studying, writing, playing and creating. It’s hard work but I won't let that stop me. I'm taking all the opportunities I can manage to find with the help of my friends and teachers. I really think this is the perfectopportunity to push me further. I want to study, work harder, but some things are hard to accomplish if you don't have supplies. Money is hard to get, especially with seven siblings, so it makes it harder or even impossible if I want to get a laptop or a printer, or even extra school supplies. Just have to work with what you have I’ve often been told, but I’m in highschool, and school will get harder. I need supplies if I want to accomplish my dream of being the first of all seven kids to do more than just high school. My goal is to earn a doctorate degree in Astrophysics. It's really a wonderful career path that I have debated and have decided to follow, imagine studying the physics and chemistry of astronomical objects. As a little kid I would dream of being an astronaut or working for NASA, I would go outside at night and just gaze at the night sky, looking at every star and just admiring the beauty. It's always been my dream to witness a meteor show in complete darkness. Most of all I remember the best experience ever, being amazed, wowed, astonished, dumbfounded by the super blue blood moon. It was the best experience ever.Aside from my deep desire to study space and sciences, I’ve had many passions over the years I’ve come to know myself. Music is one of the things that helps me with hard times. I can only do it at school. I really like the piano, to be able to study or finish at home rather than rush it at school knowing I will no longer have access at home. Writing, an activity I love. So far, I’ve written down my thoughts on the back of a simple school journal, I’ve even come to learn things about myself I haven’t come to realize until I saw it written on paper. My life, written on paper. I also have what many call an over imagination. Where my head is always clouded with thoughts that only music can calm,or writing can clarify. But aside that I love stories and have many of my own, waiting to touch fingers with keyboard. All my passions lie where I have to stretch far to get them, and I know a sponsorship from A Bridge for Kids would help me place a grip on them. I need support, and I’m placing my confidence that I can find what I need here. Help my follow my passion if its music, education, or writing. Help me be more than a kid with just a dream.Sponsor Christopher today!
