A Bridge for Kids College Scholarship
Announcing the 2026 A Bridge for Kids College Scholarship Recipients
We are proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 A Bridge for Kids College Scholarship.
Each year, we recognize and support exceptional low-income high school seniors across San Diego who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in academics, athletics, and the arts. These students have shown not only academic success, but also resilience, discipline, and a commitment to building a better future.
This year, A Bridge for Kids awarded $20,000 in scholarships to five remarkable students committed to attending four-year universities. These funds help bridge the financial gap as they transition to college by covering expenses such as tuition, books, housing deposits, transportation, and dorm essentials.
Congratulations to this year’s winners. We couldn’t be more proud.

More Than a Scholarship
At A Bridge for Kids, this is about more than financial support. It is about access.
For many of our students, college is not just the next step. It is unfamiliar territory. Navigating applications, financial aid, housing, and campus life can feel overwhelming without the right guidance and support system in place.
That is where we come in.
Through mentorship, tutoring, college tours, and access to technology, we work to remove the barriers that too often stand in the way. We give students the opportunity to step onto college campuses, meet mentors who have walked the path before them, and build the confidence to see themselves in environments they may have never imagined.
We also focus on what happens after acceptance. Preparation, confidence, and a sense of belonging are critical to long-term success. Our goal is not just to help students get into college, but to ensure they are ready to thrive once they arrive.
The results speak for themselves. Eight consecutive years of 100% college acceptance.
Help Us Continue Transforming Lives
Our next class is already working hard and dreaming big. With your support, we can continue to provide the resources and opportunities they need.
Because a young person’s future should be shaped by their hard work, determination, and potential, not their zip code.
