ABFK Featured in the La Jolla Light!

We’re proud to share that A Bridge for Kids was recently featured in the La Jolla Light, spotlighting our work supporting first-generation, low-income students across San Diego.

The article follows Sabrina Haji, the eldest of six children from an immigrant household, who recently began her first semester at Yale University thanks in part to the support she received from ABFK. Sabrina’s story highlights the power of mentorship, sponsorship, and opportunity, and she’s just one of many students whose journey has been shaped by ABFK.

From college tours and SAT prep to financial sponsorships and mentorship, A Bridge for Kids continues to help students like Sabrina and Mayerling & Valerie Colin (two sisters who both gained acceptance to Yale from a single-parent household) achieve their dreams.
