ABFK’s 11th Annual DreamMakers is a HUGE Success
The 11th Annual DreamMakers event was a tremendous success, thanks to the support of everyone who came. A Bridge for Kids, a San Diego-based charity that empowers high-achieving, low-income teens, raised over $300,000 during this year’s DreamMakers, which will directly impact the lives of the deserving students we support throughout San Diego County.
The event serves as a beacon of hope for these ambitious young minds, and the generous contributions of the community are the driving force behind the mission of A Bridge for Kids. The funds raised will empower our students in numerous ways, including enabling them to embark on eye-opening college tours, participate in SAT/ACT classes, access tutoring services, secure valuable college scholarships, receive free laptops, and much more.
The success of the event was due in part to the dedication of the Honorary Chairs, Paul and Judy Bernstein, and the entire Honorary Committee. The event was also made possible thanks to the efforts of the event committee and the volunteers who worked tirelessly during the gala.
Two moments that stood out from the evening were Kevin Viner’s act of mind-reading magic and an inspiring speech by Ava, a student supported by A Bridge for Kids. Ava mesmerized the audience, demonstrating how A Bridge for Kids has enabled her to achieve her full potential.
