DreamMakers Hits New Highs For At-Risk Teens

OH WHAT A NIGHT!On October 6th, the A Bridge For Kids signature event, DreamMakers, brought over 200 members of the San Diego community together to raise over $200,000 to support high achieving, low income teens seeking to improve their lives and create a brighter future. The energy throughout the evening was electric as guests enjoyed an open bar, delicious food stations, casino games, a fun photo booth, and dancing to music by DJ Noel. A great time was had by all!Additionally, our two teen guest speakers, Ronald and Sierra, who shared their stories about the impact that an A Bridge For Kids sponsorship has had on their lives kept our guests spellbound.  Ronald, an alumni of our organization, was inspired to become a serious student in high school so he could qualify for an ABFK sponsorship. Subsequently, he earned a full ride to UCSD and is currently in his freshman year. Sierra, as a sophomore in high school, has expanded her athletic and academic endeavors utilizing her sponsorship funds. Both teens have also enjoyed a close friendship with their sponsors who also serve as their mentors.Proceeds from DreamMakers will provide additional sponsorships and fund support programs we offer our teens free of charge.
