Holiday Party with the San Diego Gulls!

A Bridge for Kids was thrilled to celebrate the holidays once again with the San Diego Gulls this season! On December 28th, 215 students, alumni, sponsors, and supporters came together at Pechanga Arena for a memorable evening of holiday cheer, giving, and thrilling local hockey.

The event was a celebration of community and connection, filled with heartwarming gift-giving and the creation of cherished memories. The San Diego Gulls graciously provided unique experiences, including a group photo on the ice, participation in the crowd-favorite on ice “tee-shirt toss,” Zamboni ride, high-five tunnel, and a special opportunity for a few students to tour the penalty box before the game. Continuing their commitment to local youth, the Gulls also honored A Bridge for Kids with a generous $1,000 donation to support our mission of empowering under-resourced teens in San Diego.

This annual event has become a treasured tradition, offering a unique opportunity for sponsors to connect with their students and for current ABFK participants to meet and be inspired by ABFK Alumni now thriving at colleges across the country. It is always heartening to witness the spirit of generosity and support that defines our ABFK family.

A huge thank you to The San Diego Gulls for their incredible hospitality, La Jolla Country Day School for once again brightening our students’ holidays with their Giving Tree gift-giving program, and everyone who helped make this celebration so special.
