Inela Diaz and Joseph Terrones Win Week #1 of The Quarantine Games
Thanks to the over 1,100 entrants who participated in Week #1 of the A Bridge for Kids Quarantine Games. We appreciate your support and we hope we were able to make you think and bring a smile to your face during these most challenging times!
A Bridge for Kids came up with the idea of the Quarantine Games as a way to have fun, share our Mission with those of you who are playing and most importantly, raise money for the students we support.
As a result of COVID-19, many of our teens and their families are struggling as they face the harsh reality of one or both parents losing their jobs. Almost 30% of the kids we have interacted with have shared that their families have had to resort to rationing food.
So far through your donations we have raised close to $14,000 but we would like to see that number go much higher! If you are able to donate to this fund, please click here to show your support. ALL of the donations made from that link will be distributed to our students and their families by the end of May through The Quarantine Games.
Week #1 Results- A Bridge for Kids Students
We had 138 past and present A Bridge for Kids sponsored teens enter the contest and the top positions on the leaderboard were hotly contested by some of the best and brightest minds this planet has to offer. With that said bragging rights could only go to one person and that was Inela Diaz from Steele Canyon High School. Congratulations to Inela on winning first prize. Only missing one question and correctly guessing that only 2% of respondents said that a potato was a fruit allowed her to cruise to victory. Dennis Vo and Simonei Medina rounded out the top 3.
