Our Biggest and Best Holiday Party Yet!

Once again, A Bridge for Kids celebrated the holidays with the San Diego Gulls. This December 17th, we had our biggest Holiday party to date, with almost 200 students, alumni, sponsors, and supporters gathering at Pechanga Arena. Together we had a night of cheer, giving, and some local hockey!

The Holidays are a very special time when we are able to get together, give gifts, and share stories. This year we did all of that and more! The Gulls, in the spirit of giving, allowed one of our students to ride the Zamboni, 4 students were able to partake in the T-Shirt Toss on the ice, and for 8 kids to tour the penalty box and go on the ice before the game, AND we got to take 30 lucky students down to the high-five tunnel to meet the players before the game! In addition, The San Diego Gulls Foundation recognized ABFK for its decade of supporting “at-risk” teens here in San Diego and presented A Bridge for Kids with a check for $1,000 to help further our mission in the upcoming year.

This is one of our favorite events because it brings together our ABFK family and allows our sponsors to spend some time with their students. Every year this party has been bigger and better than the last. We are already looking forward to next year! 

Everyone had a really fun time and we would like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, The San Diego Gulls for their hospitality, The La Jolla Country Day School for providing presents to ALL of our students through their Giving Tree gift-giving program, and everyone else who helped make this special night possible.
