When I was six, I wanted to be an astronaut, and when I was 7, I wanted to be a singer. By the time I was 11, I had thought becoming a judge or a lawyer would be my future, but that might have just been because of Legally Blonde. I am sure that it is something that every kid goes through. Profit usually comes to mind before the passion for when someone asks you what you want to be when you grow up. We all had our reasons, and mine was to be making enough profit to support my family. My name is rose, and I am 13 years old. I am now coming to terms with what I am passionate about and what I am not. I love to read and write, play the piano, and want to learn ballet, but I never got around to it because of how much it would cost.

I want to be someone who helps others, and I want to be not limited to several accomplishments. Right now, my thoughts on the perfect future are to be a full-time author and do much ballet on the side. I try and do the best I can to accomplish these goals by doing my best in school, but I feel like time is running out to practice in these fields because I have not even started. Nevertheless, I manage to keep my visions hopeful.

Ballet has always been a silly thing for me to even think of doing, but I want to express my feelings through my movements. I like how delicate and sensitive the art is. To do ballet, the classes and uniforms come with costs that my family cannot pay. As for writing, it helps me release my feelings on paper to express my sensitive self both physically and mentally. When I write, I have control over what I say and what people hear. To write, I know that there are expenses for an editor and to get published, which can leave the hopefulness numb.

I want to show other people in my place that you cannot wait for someone to push you to do something that you want to do. Instead, it would be best to push yourself towards your goals instead of wishing to have it easier. I want to help people through my writing, teaching them to express their feelings more realistically.

When I realized that writing is my passion and so many other things, I started to look into scholarships or organizations that would help me. Trying my best to apply on my own pushed myself because I was going beyond my comfort zone by doing interviews or showing my writing to other people.

This sponsorship would help me buy books that would help me improve my writing and expose myself to more authors’ works. The sponsorship would help me discover even more of my passions and help my current passions. With the support from this sponsorship, I would buy equipment for ballet, such as shoes and tights. It would also help me purchase school supplies like notebooks or textbooks.
