Hello! I'm a 16-year-old boy who enjoys some of life's simple, great pleasures: playing volleyball and my guitar. It's what keeps me fit and focused four days a week. My guitar, well, it's like my daily companion—it never fails to rev up my mind and calm me down. If I am not playing ball or holding a guitar to practice chords, then you most likely find me in the virtual worlds of Minecraft or Roblox with my buddies playing games. Not only are they self-entertainment games, but in some ways, they help us connect, make some laughs, and even set goals.
Looking to the future, I have some big dreams swimming in my head. First, I would like to be the first in my family to get into college. It was something giving me a push, for it would open doors for me and set examples for people surrounding me. Another dream of mine is to buy a beachside house for my mom and grandma. My grandma loves the beach, and I would be happy if I could give her a place right beside it.
Talking about a future career, I want to be a dentist, and for this specialization, I look forward towards UCSF Dental School to educate me in following my dream. Helping people with their smile and oral health feels that it will suit me perfectly. Family to me is everything. I really treasure time spent with my family, be it watching my siblings play their respective games or just sitting down and sharing a meal. They are my support group, my biggest cheerleaders in whatever I have been doing. For me, everything—sport, music, games, education, family—has been driven by passion and dedication. I believe in hard work for the things that I want, and I never give up being me.
