Firdaouss
Before I was born, my parents immigrated to the United States from Morocco, bringing my older brother along when he was just two years old. I was raised in a home filled with love and support, but we often struggled financially. Money was always tight, and I witnessed my parents sacrifice their own needs time and again to ensure our family was taken care of. While those challenges made things tough, they also taught me valuable lessons in perseverance, hard work, and holding working hard for a better future.
I work hard in school because I want to take advantage of the chances my parents didn’t have. Keeping track of all my classes, helping out at home, and dealing with money worries hasn’t always been easy. But I stay focused because I want to honor everything my parents have done for me and create a better future for all of us.
Outside of school, I find joy and stress relief through volleyball and gymnastics. These activities keep me active and help me develop important life skills like teamwork and discipline. They also give me a chance to build confidence and enjoy myself beyond the pressures of home life.
My dream is to become a pediatric nurse because I love caring for others and want to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Nursing feels like the perfect path to combine my passion with a stable career that allows me to support my family. My mom is my greatest inspiration, her strength and determination, despite starting with so little, push me to keep striving no matter how hard life gets.
I’m applying for this opportunity because it would ease the financial strain on my family and allow me to concentrate more on my education and extracurricular activities. The financial support, academic resources, and mentorship would bring me closer to my goal of becoming a pediatric nurse. This opportunity is not just about financial help,it represents access to chances that might otherwise remain out of reach and a path to truly succeed despite our challenges.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I’m excited about the chance to grow, learn, and move closer to achieving my dreams.
