A BRIDGE FOR KIDS presents: 1st Annual Musical Theatre Scholarship

BRIDGE FOR KIDS presents:

A Bridge for Kids is proud to announce a new scholarship for a (Class of 2022) student pursuing musical theater in college to train with the Trifecta Broadway Coaches.  This scholarship will recognize and support one current junior with a comprehensive college audition preparation program including private lessons in voice, dance, acting and more.  

We invite all San Diego high school juniors who qualify for the Government Free and Reduced Lunch Program. Seeking a dedicated youth ready for rigorous training who demonstrates excellence in academics and performance. Applications must be submitted by midnight on May 1, 2021. 

Scholarship includes:

  • 3 weekly private lessons w/ Broadway coaches in: Singing, Dancing, Acting
  • Monthly zoom sessions w/ a musical theater college prep advisor to help you choose schools and guide you through the audition process
  • Headshots taken by a professional photographer
  • Video session to film prescreen auditions including videographer, acting coach, studio rental
  • Workshops with professors from prestigious Musical Theater BFA programs
  • 6 sessions with an academic advisor to help with essays, transcripts & scholarship applications
  • Transportation allotment based on need
  • Value= $20,000

*Training will begin June 1st and continue through final auditions in March 2022

And send in requested materials via email (instructions on website) 

You will need to provide:

  • Headshot (or close up photo of your face) 
  • Performance Resume (or list of stage experience, training and/or school arts classes)
  • A one minute video of student singing a musical theater song (pop song accepted, musical theater preferred).
  • Essay – In your own words, share about yourself, your background, a challenge you overcame or an accomplishment you are proud of, goals you have for college and why you want to pursue musical theater.  (one page double spaced maximum)

Trifecta is a boutique musical theater training program.  Our three Broadway experienced coaches each focus in an area; singing, dancing, acting as well as college audition advising, artistic development and media branding.  In addition Trifecta’s musical theater college audition prep provides comprehensive audition & college entrance guidance.  Our team will guide students through the entire process from choosing schools, selecting customized audition materials, determining headshot & audition attire, filming and selecting pre-screens, meeting deadlines and preparing for live auditions. We work together to capture each students individual strengths and artistic passions with professional flare to show their best at auditions.  The Trifecta Broadway Coaches have guided dozens of students into some of the most prestigious programs around the country.
