Karime Corcoles and Julian Hernandez Win Week #2 of Quarantine Games

Thanks to the over 2,000 of you who have participated in the A Bridge for Kids Quarantine Games.  We appreciate your support and we hope we were able to make you think and bring a smile to your face during these most challenging times!

A Bridge for Kids came up with the idea of the Quarantine Games as a way to have fun, share our Mission with those of you who are playing and most importantly, raise money for the students we support.

As a result of COVID-19, many of our teens and their families are struggling as they face the harsh reality of one or both parents losing their jobs. Almost 30% of the kids we have interacted with have shared that their families have had to resort to rationing food.

So far through your donations we have raised close to $17,000 but we would like to see that number go much higher!  If you are able to donate to this fund, please click  here to show your support.  ALL of the donations made from that link will be distributed to our students and their families by the end of May through The Quarantine Games.

Week #2 Results– A Bridge for Kids Students

After watching her classmate Inela Diaz dominate week #1, Karime Corcoles of Steele Canyon High School bested the field and took home the $1,000 Wal Mart gift card in week #2. Former Preuss School, UCSD student and SDSU graduate Salvador Terrones came in second and for the second week in a row Inela Diaz finished in the top 3, winning another $500 for her efforts.  Not knowing that most people preferred to use a fork to eat Mac n Cheese didn’t hold Karime back as she put up the most dominating performance in the contests short history.  Congrats to all of  you that won this week.

Xavier West ended up on the leaderboard for the second week in a row!
