Hello, I’m Celina Khonn, a fellow high schooler attending Hoover High class of 2023. I am very goal orientated and determined to follow my dreams. At a young age my mom and family migrated to the United Stated to have a better life due to war and a corrupt government in their hometown Cambodia. They went through many difficulties trying to come to America so that me and my siblings could have a better future. My mom doesn’t have all the financial needs to provide money for college to all her kids so I hope to get a scholarship for college from academics or sports that would cover at least some of my tuition. I know my family and mom would be happy knowing that I finish college and have and follow my dreams. This heavily impacted me because it makes me want to do good in school to have a successful future. By maintaining good grades and going to college it will help me achieve my goals. I want this scholarship because not only would it provide financial stability, but it will prove to me that I can achieve any goals I want to achieve.

A little bit about myself is that I run track and I have good grades. I’ve been running track since freshman year and I’m currently a sophomore. I hope to continue to run track because it brings me happiness and joy running with such a supportive team. My grades mean a lot to me because my grades are a reflection of how hard I work and how determined I am. When I graduate high school I hope to pursue a career like a real estate agent and sell properties, a mortgage loaner, and also invest/stocks. Having a scholarship would help me greatly for school supplies and track essentials. It would be a great opportunity to help my future. Most importantly I would like to be a part of A Bridge For Kids because it would give me opportunities that would benefit my academics such as tutoring and extra help.
