An Update on our Progress

Hi Everyone,This is our final Newsletter for 2013, our first full year as an organization, and what a year it has been!  Over the past year, A Bridge for Kids has evolved from an “idea” to a meaningful organization in the community, helping numerous teenagers achieve their dreams.  Through the generosity of almost 200 donors, our teens have been able to apply to their dream colleges, enhance their ability to complete school work with their own computers, buy sports equipment, participate in school activities, and look forward to being able to visit colleges this coming spring.Over the past few months, we have found sponsors for over 25 teenagers, worked with the La Jolla Country Day School in providing over 500 holiday gifts for foster kids and raised over $110,000 at our Casino Night fundraiser in October.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for the ongoing support!Finally, I want to share with you a thank you letter we received last week from a teen we sponsored last year.   If you are a donor and want to know where you money goes, if you are someone who has followed us but is unsure whether to donate to our organization or if you just having a bad day and want to be cheered up PLEASE read this wonderful note.On behalf of the A Bridge For Kids Board of Directors and Volunteers, I wish you a joyful and blessed holiday season.Michael NanceFounder and CEOA Bridge for Kids
