Annual Alumni Dinner Brings Together Students and Sponsors

In December, during their Winter Break from college, students who have received support from A Bridge for Kids gathered with sponsors, Board members and Founder/CEO Michael Nance to celebrate the season and share stories about fall semester and college life. The annual “Alumni Dinner” was an opportunity to see the impact of A Bridge for Kids and how supporting low-income teens can lead to successful outcomes. The student in attendance hailed from a diverse group of four-year universities including SDSU, UCLA, Brown, and many more and the students’ areas of study ranged from Astro Physics to a young man who has already received his real estate license in addition to a 4-year degree. Michael Nance shared, “It’s so gratifying to see the enthusiasm and promise in these young people and know that our generous sponsors have helped them fulfill their dreams. They received sponsorship for various needs, including test prep, college application fees, and textbooks, and knowing that these costs are covered helps them focus on their academic studies.”To learn how you can provide life-changing opportunities to low-income teens, please contact A Bridge for Kids at 858-812-3150.
