The Giving Tree provides joy to those that need it the most!

The Giving Tree event, organized by A Bridge For Kids at La Jolla Country Day School, has become a tradition of love. Together, our two organizations partner to provide over 300 San Diego foster and low income children a Holiday gift. For most of these children, this gift will be the only gift they will receive this holiday season.It is heartwarming to watch the Country Day students and parents excitedly peruse a board full of icons, each one naming a needy child, their age, and the gift they wish to receive this year; and then to see them choose one child or more to purchase a gift for. Two weeks later, a parade of beautifully wrapped gifts marches back onto the campus. There is a special excitement in the air as each Country Day student happily presents their donated gifts to an A Bridge For Kids volunteer who checks in each gift and prepares them for delivery.We thank La Jolla Country Day for generously continuing to partner with A Bridge For Kids in this effort to bring Holiday joy to San Diego’s children.
