Sponsored! Christian
My name is Christian. I am 14 years old and currently going to the Preuss School UCSD. I live with both of my parents and I have 2 sisters, one who is older than me and one younger than me. My father is a gardener and my mother is a stay home mom. Growing up has not been easy for me due to the fact that I have had a blood disorder since I was 2 years old and currently it is still a mystery what is causing my body not to produce a normal amount of platelets. Even though I wish to do a lot of physical activities, I’m limited on my options. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome which caused me to have a rapid heartbeat, due to all of this I have been in and out of the hospital more times than I can even remember. All of these medical issues have had a big influence on me wishing to become a doctor. I am aware that is going to require a lot of sacrifices from me and a lot of effort and it is going to be a long path. As a doctor I would be able to help a lot of people in my community that are in need of medical help.
With the approval of my doctor, currently I am playing Squash and I am enjoying it very much. After trying out for Squash 2 years in a row I finally got into the program this year. Finding someone to sponsor me would really help me to accomplish my dreams to become a doctor. Receiving help from a sponsor would help me academically so my parents won’t have the burden to provide me with what I need to be successful. As it is already hard with only having one source of income from my father.
