Kaled

Growing up as a Mexican American has taught me a lot of things in my life. One of those things being “Nothing comes easy” Or Like my mom and grandpa often tell me “Nobody starts at the top” and it took me a while to understand that. My name is Kaled and this is my story.

Growing up in San Diego California has introduced me to a lot of things. It has shown me different cultures, different beliefs, and people that are different from me, and I always thought of myself as a caring person, or somebody that wants to give back to the community or the world. It took me a little more time to understand that we as people have many differences. As people, one thing is common, we all have emotions, we all have struggles and we all grieve. I've always told myself that we have a right to express ourselves and our feelings no matter what. Now, I still feel the same, except I don't just see the people around me, I see people my same age, I see people of my same ethnic group, I see people different from me, but to summarize what I'm trying to say, I see the world around me suffer. To me that is very disappointing. It makes me wonder and think to myself what can I do to help people around me?

I know I have a long road ahead of me but I would like to do something in my life that could help others. like my mom and grandpa have told me “Nobody starts at the top” so I know it won't be easy to accomplish my dreams and that’s why I need all the help I can possibly get. Something I'm passionate about is entertainment. I feel like people all over the world are brought together by a lot of things, one of them being entertainment. Not just recently but throughout history entertainment has been something that has helped humanity. I realized that entertainment not only brought people together but often times it helped people forget about bad things or it's helped people cope with their struggles, so as of recently I've dedicated myself to improve my skills so someday i could attribute to the entertainment industry that way i would give back to not just my community but to the world.

The sponsorship would help me with uniforms, high quality dance shoes, Masterclasses, and books on acting. This also would help me improve my education by me being able to buy more uniforms for school, and more materials for classes I have.

As I close my statement I wanted to share one final quote. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God which is why we call it the present.” Thank you.
