Merchael

My name is, Merchael, and I’m a Filipino American artist. I currently attend San Diego Creative School of Creative and Performing Arts as a Fine Art Major. I love to draw realistic plants and other objects. Drawing lead me to find an interest in coding. In my free time, I’d like to code websites and mini games.

For most of my life(13 years), I lived in Orange Park, Florida. When I was living in the south, there wasn’t any resources for me as a low income student. Finding a program such as, A Bridge For Kids, that would be willing to work with me as a low income student, would be life changing. So, I believe if I get A Bridge For Kids Sponsorship, I could have the resources to become the first Medical Doctor (M.D) in my Family. One of my dreams, is to be accepted into either UCSD or MIT as a Bioengineering Major. If I get the sponsorship, I feel like it would give me the hope of being at the same level as my other more privileged peers. It would give me the confidence to shoot for the stars and go for my dreams.
