Congratulations to our 2023 Scholarship Winners

We are thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2023 A Bridge for Kids College Scholarship. Every year, we honor and assist low-income high school seniors in San Diego who have demonstrated outstanding performance in academics, athletics, and/or the arts during their high school years. This year, we awarded a total of $25,500 in funding to deserving seniors who have committed to attending a four-year college. The funds are intended to provide financial assistance for college expenses, such as tuition, books, housing deposits, transportation, and dorm living expenses.

Applicants were required to provide certain information, such as their GPA, SAT/ACT scores, and the college they plan to attend. Additionally, they were asked to write a mandatory essay responding to the prompt: A Bridge for Kids helps level the playing field for low-income teens by supporting their academic, athletic, and artistic endeavors. In 500 words or less, please explain how you have achieved excellence in any of these areas. You are welcome to include any supporting documents or information.

Congratulations to this years winners! Each of these students, who were selected from a group of over 50 applications, will receive an $8,500 scholarship from A Bridge for Kids.
