Health & Wellness: Ice Skating!
A Bridge for Kids is a non-profit organization that is committed to providing underprivileged high school students with the resources they need to succeed. Founded in 2010 by Mike Nance, the organization is based in San Diego, California, and has helped hundreds of students to date. One of our latest initiatives is our Health & Wellness Program, which seeks to promote healthy living and wellness among our students.
Last weekend, A Bridge for Kids took several students to UTC Ice to go ice skating as part of the Health & Wellness Program. This was an exciting opportunity for many of our students, as it was their first-time ice skating! The students were able to spend time with their peers, while also getting some exercise and challenging themselves to learn a new skill.
The Health & Wellness Program is one of the ways that A Bridge for Kids is helping to support students in need. We recognize that many of our students may not have access to the resources and support they need to live healthy and active lives. The Health & Wellness Program is designed to inspire and equip our students with resources and information that they can use to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. This includes information on nutrition, exercise, teamwork, leadership, and more.
Whether offering academic support, promoting healthy living, or offering fun activities like ice skating, A Bridge for Kids is dedicated to making an impact on the lives of young people in San Diego.
